Bloggers Recognition Award!
Hi everyone, I am writing this because last Thursday I got nominated for the Bloggers Recognition Award. I am so excited and honoured, and I can’t wait to share my blog’s story with all of you! As a part of accepting this award, it is my job to nominate other bloggers that also deserve some recognition for their hard work. So keep reading and discover what other cool blogs I have to recommend!
Bloggers Recognition Award.
When you are a new blogger everything seems complicated and confusing. You feel like you are doing everything you can for your blog to be loved by other people. Just the fact that someone took the time to read my blog and decided that it deserves some kind of acknowledgment means everything to me. So I want to give a big “Thank you!” To Gabby from nominating me and my blog. I will talk about her blog ‘Military Mama’s Farmhouse’ in a little bit. But first let’s talk about what this award is all about.
What is the Bloggers Recognition Award?
The Bloggers Recognition Award is given to bloggers by bloggers and it is a way to show appreciation for the commitment and hard work that is needed to start a blog. This is a wonderful thing to be presented with and anyone receiving this award should be more than proud of themselves.
But, that doesn’t mean this is it. This is only the beginning of a long road. Knowledge can always be expanded and productivity is never an accident. So you should keep working hard, just like I know you have been doing. Bigger things are coming your way.
What is ‘Military Mama’s Farmhouse’ and who is Gabby?
Military Mama’s Farmhouse is a wonderful blog about a family living in Baltimore, Maryland. It contains lots of posts about their recently bought house and the improvements they are making to it. You can also find advice on Military life and Motherhood. So who writes this wonderful blog?
Gabby is the mother of a 20-month old boy and her posts on motherhood are incredible. From books to crafts, she gives very helpful advice on how to keep the little ones busy. She is also the wife of a Coast Guard and because of this they have had to move quite often. She has some really good advice on Military life. I have to admit that my favourite thing to read on her blog is the ‘Decor’ Category. She has so many good posts of fall home decor, I am definitely following her advice!
I love this blog because it is the true representation of someone’s life, nothing is left behind. You have to go and show her some love, so go and check out Military Mama’s Farmhouse.
The Story of my Blog:
I have always loved reading everything and anything that lands on my hands. I am addicted to the way you get absorbed by the story and time passes by without you noticing. Last year I had to apply to Uni and the struggle to choose between subjects was undeniable. See, I have always loved science as well. Unfortunately we live in a society where those two world don’t merge that often, so my heart was divided between these two roads. So I applied to Uni to do Physics, a subject I had always been very fond with. While doing my A Levels I suffered from anxiety and depression, the decision felt very heavy on my shoulders and the fear of failure was extreme.
One afternoon I was writing for pleasure, this was after the exams had finished, and I couldn’t help but wonder about the skills you learn doing physics and the experience you gain by reading and writing. This is what I wrote:
‘Physics is the study of the Universe from the smallest to the biggest scale. The same way people study geography to know where places and things are, studying physics makes you aware of your thoughts and how important you are as an individual. Writing, just as reading, is my way of understanding the world, not my way to scape from it. To write wonderful stories that will trap the minds of millions you need different and complex perspectives. Science gives you that magic.’
So that is when I packed everything and moved to Edinburgh to study Physics at Uni. But is also how this blog started. It started from the passion I feel towards words and the effect they have on people. My mission is to write honest reviews that people will be thankful for. And my plan is to do it while I enjoy my life.
My nominations are:
- Hermant from Hemant Pandey Blog
- Monika from Life Breu
- Helen from Break A Leg
- Molly from Peonies Sand Cream
- Cindy from Cindy Seaton
- Abdul from Baber Sidd
- Ashley from Let’s Get Baked Recipes
- Sudeep from Tricky Career
- Becky from Becky Fowler
- Victoria from Apartment Number 4
My advice to new Bloggers:
I know how difficult it is to have a blog; all the energy, frustration, disappointment, tears even. And I would be lying if I said this goes away in a few months. I still consider myself a new blogger and my determination to make this blog a success in my life makes it really hard to think about something else. It also means I need to keep learning and exploring, which I don’t mind a bit as I know this will get the blog far.
So what advice could I give you? Keep doing what you are doing, and if you can, do a little more. Just the fact that you decided to start a blog takes courage, determination and guts. Picture what you want and go for it! Because no one is going to do it for you.
- Be consistent: This means you will need to set up an action plan. Think about what you want to achieve and create small and achievable steps to make your life easier. This will also require for you to be organised, something you should be working on already.
- Keep motivated: Remind yourself everyday of the reason you started this blog. Do you want to sell products? Or do you want to write reviews? Or do you just want to write about your experience in this world? Whatever it is, you were passionate enough to create a space that would give you the opportunity to do so. Don’t lose the excitement.
- Don’t compare yourself to other bloggers: I feel like this advice could be taken a step further. But it is really important to not look at other blogs and feel discouraged because of their success. Remember what is all about and don’t loose hope that one day that could be you.
